Overview: This four-day cultural soft adventure tour brings your group into Indian culture, offering a unique view of Navajo and Hopi land and people. Your tour includes magnificent scenic views, educational tours and talks. We can help you arrange native dancers and other cultural experiences, custom-tailored for your group.

Day 1

Travel approximately three and one half hours from Phoenix to Tuba City, Arizona. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the Quality Inn Navajo Nation. Enjoy southwestern comfort and a convenient base to “Experience Navajo” and explore the richness of this land and its people. After a dinner of traditional Navajo cuisine, Southwestern or American food at the Hogan Restaurant, schedule to enjoy some of the local Indians perform native dances. The dancers are a favorite cultural experience of our guests.

Day 2

Begin your day with a light breakfast or a hearty meal at the Hogan Restaurant. Visit the historic Tuba City Trading Post. The Tuba City Trading Post has been part of the Indian Country landscape since 1870. It contains authentic Indian arts and crafts of: Indian jewelry, pottery, rugs, sand paintings, Kachina dolls, and clothing; each reflecting the superb craftsmanship and cultural traditions of the artist.

Continue on approximately one hour to the Hopi Reservation, visit and tour the Hopi Cultural Center & Museum. Enjoy a delicious lunch at the Hopi Cultural Center Restaurant. Visit and tour a Hopi Village, where Hopis have lived for more than 1,100 years.

Travel an additional 1 and ¼ hours to tour and shop at Hubbell Trading Post, America’s oldest continuously operated trading post located in Ganado, Arizona. The Hubbell Trading Post carries hundreds of beautiful hand woven rugs, with a variety of traditional designs and provides walking tours free of charge.

Just another 30 minute drive and you may overnight at the Quality Inn Navajo Nation Capital, located in the Navajo Nation’s capital, Window Rock, Arizona. The Quality Inn Navajo Nation Capital is one of Window Rock’s most hospitable places to stay featuring a friendly staff and comfortable southwestern rooms. You have the option to visit and view exhibits at the Navajo Nation Museum, or do some shopping at the Navajo Nation Arts & Crafts Enterprise, both right next door to the Quality Inn Navajo Nation Capital. Enjoy dinner at the Diné Restaurant, featuring a widely varied menu from local traditional fare, including Navajo tacos or mutton stew, to a burger and fries or a nice steak.

Day 3

After breakfast at the Quality Inn Navajo Nation Capital, take a walking tour of the historic Navajo Nation Council Chambers & Veterans Memorial Park, which are located just a few minutes from the Quality Inn Navajo Nation Capital. The Council Chambers is the meeting place for the Navajo government to discuss critical issues determining the future of the Navajo people. The interior of the Council Chambers is decorated with beautiful murals depicting Navajo life, culture and history.

At the Veterans Memorial Park, just a few steps from the Council Chambers, you will see the symbolic monuments created to honor the well known Navajo Code Talkers sitting at the base of the sand stone “Window Rock” for which the town is named.

Tour Canyon de Chelly in a Navajo-guided all terrain vehicle, just over an hour from Window Rock. You will tour the Canyon’s narrow, 1,000-foot high red stone walls, and enjoy lunch within the canyon walls or you might take a sunset tour of the Canyon. Stay overnight in Chinle, Arizona or Kayenta, Arizona.

Day 4

View beautiful sand stone monuments as you pass through Many Farms, on Highway 59, as you travel approximately 2 hours to Monument Valley. Experience a narrated jeep tour of Monument Valley with a Navajo guide. Plan to enjoy a barbeque lunch, including a Navajo song and dance group, within the beautiful monuments and buttes of Monument Valley. After your wonderful journey through Navajoland travel back to Phoenix or complete your circle with a return overnight stay at Quality Inn Navajo Nation where we will welcome the opportunity to tuck you into the comfort of our rooms!
